Walk For Wishes

The 28th Annual Walk For Wishes is a fundraising event held by Make-A-Wish Michigan to support granting life-changing wishes for local children battling critical illnesses. The event aims to raise over $350,000 this year to help fulfill these wishes, which range from travel and celebrity meetings to unique experiences like becoming a firefighter. Event Details Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026. Location: Detroit Zoo. Registration Fees: * Early (through May 1 at 12 p.m.): $10 for adults; $5 for kids (ages 3–13). At the Door: $20 for adults; $10 for kids (ages 3–13). T-Shirt Incentive: Participants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive the official 2026 Walk For Wishes t-shirt. Participant Benefits & Activities Zoo Access: Admission includes access to the Detroit Zoo until 5 p.m.. Kids' Activities: A scavenger hunt with prizes is available for children. Wellness: A warmup and stretch session will be led by team members from Planet Fitness, the event’s lead sponsor. Ways to Get Involved Walk: Start a team with friends, family, or colleagues and set a fundraising goal. Virtual Walker: Pledge and walk on your own time, either individually or as part of a team. Volunteer: Support the walkers on the day of the event. Sponsor: Individuals or companies can provide financial sponsorship for the event.
