Over The Edge - Are you brave enough to rapel down 26 stories in support of GiGi’s Playhouse Detroit?

We are challenging you to be as courageous as the thousands of individuals living in and around metro-Detroit by facing a brand new obstacle – rappelling down the side of the First National Building in downtown Detroit. Just imagine; stepping over to the very edge of a building, looking down, and having the realization that you’re facing your fears head on. Then, adrenaline takes over and the next thing you know you’re having the thrill of a lifetime rappelling down the side of a 26 story building. Over The Edge is certainly the most thrilling and unique fundraiser for GiGi’s Playhouse Detroit. We are looking for 92 of our bravest fans to rise to the challenge of raising $1,000 in support of thousands of families and rappelling 26 stories! Everyone involved will have the chance to prove they’re Brave in the attempt and go outside of their comfort zone all while having fun and supporting a good cause! Every day we are asking our loved ones with Down syndrome to be brave. Every day we ask them to try something physically and mentally hard. Our kids don’t get a break from their disability and now it’s YOUR turn to be BRAVE and show your support!! Over The Edge will allow you to work alongside a professional team to assist you the entire way down. NO prior rappelling experience is required. Participants commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 to join us on this adventure. Invite your friends, family or co-workers to help you raise the funds to go Over the Edge! All of the programs offered at GiGi’s Playhouse are 100% FREE for ALL families but they are not free for us to provide. The money raised from this event will allow us to provide programming to hundreds of individuals with Down syndrome and will give our Playhouse families the educational and social tools to achieve what many thought impossible. “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!”
