Southfield Celebrates Black History Month - Storytellers Event

Southfield Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to present The Secret Society of Twisted Storytellers as the final Southfield Celebrates Black History Month event for 2019. Join us on Thursday, February 28 in the Southfield Pavilion for an evening with some of the area’s best storytellers and musicians. Attend the Pre-Glow from 6-6:45 pm to visit with and talk to the artists before the performances begin at 7 pm. General Admission tickets are $10 per person and are available for purchase at the Parks & Recreation Information Desk located inside the Parks & Recreation Building at 26000 Evergreen Road. The evening will be hosted by Satori Shakoor and feature performances by musical acts Dwayne Brown and Omowale Cultural Society along with storytellers Carolyn Carter, Daniel Baxter, Pauline Onyango and Dwight Stackhouse with Alexander Morgan. Be sure to browse the Storytellers Marketplace before the show or during intermission. There will also be a cash bar and food available for purchase.
