Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act)

On March 18, 2020, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) was signed into law, requiring certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. The USDOL’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) will administer and enforce the FFCRA provisions, which will apply from the effective date of April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
