About
Founded in 1968, Spaulding for Children is a private non-profit child welfare agency which stands as a national leader in developing and providing resources, services and training for foster and adoptive families and for those who serve and support them. Spaulding began with the belief that every child is adoptable and that families are essential to the healthy development of children. Today, we build stronger families to build stronger communities.
Spaulding for Children finds permanent homes for children who are in the public child welfare system and supports families in maintaining their children safely in their homes. Spaulding provides research-based training and education for those interested in becoming adoptive and foster parents, in addition to partnership projects funded through the United States DHHS/Children’s Bureau.
Spaulding develops and provides research-based training curricula that the states, tribes and territories uses to prepare and equip foster and adoptive parents.
